Not a lot of people know that!

Not a lot of people know that!

'Not a lot of people know that' is a phrase often attributed to Michael Caine.  In fact he never did say that.  However we are constantly surprised at the number of people that are unable to tell the difference between an original work of art and a reproduction, often referred to as a print.

An original is a one -off.  It is unique and because of this it has value, which is likely to increase over time.  A print is one of many copies of an original and as such its value is diluted.  In most instances a reproduction loses almost its entire value as an investment on purchase.

Equestrian Art International has almost exclusively sold originals.  No serious collector wants to know that there are reproductions of that original painting available for sale.  For this reason, we insist that the artists we represent do not offer reproductions of the paintings that we offer for exhibition and sale.  In fact during the twenty years we have been in business we have terminated representation of a number artists who have attempted to do so.  As a customer, you can be confident that this philosophy will not change.
