Artists - Wayne Reeves
About
Wayne studied at Chester College before going on to Loughborough College of Art to gain a BA Honours degree in Fine Art Painting in 1986.
In 2005 Wayne moved to Folkestone and established a gallery exhibiting his own work and that of other young regional artists. A successful and regular participant in Kent’s annual South Eastern Open Studio exhibitions, he is a leading member of the Folkestone Art community and has won many prizes both as seascape and landscape artist. His works are regularly exhibited at the internationally represented Lilford Fine Art Gallery in Canterbury.
In 2009 Wayne’s work was accepted and exhibited by The Royal Society of Marine Artists for their annual exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London. Since then he has embarked on a variety of atmospheric works with strong equestrian themes and elements rendered in a traditional and opulent style.
Wayne’s style is very impressionist and he is able to produce work showing stunning landscapes and seascapes which capture and illuminate the natural beauty of his chosen subject and surroundings. He is equally at home with most media including charcoal, pastel and oils.
